You said that he can't read or write, but can he draw?
Also, when he's feeding off fear, does the "victim" still feel fear initially? Also, neat detail about the numbness setting in after a week, given that unlike most OCTs, TBOS implies that the contestants could spend at least a week or so in the Book, if they wanted to. XD
GrimGrin can draw, but it won't exactly be artist quality illustrations, more like elaborate children's drawings. He has a good theoretical understanding of shapes, but never bothered to practice, so it won't do him much good.
Unless he lets you know he's there you probably won't have a clue he's there eating off your fear at first. You still feel the same emotions in most cases, and while some people can probably sense something is a little off depending on how well they know themselves, it's not really noticeable when it's just a single papercutkin. A pack of them tends to have more effect. And thank you. I figured I'd mention it, since time tends to be a very slippery thing in such a free OCT. And if somebody decides to adopt him post-victory it'll probably be relevant. Heh. We'll see what happens.
Heh. It's an option at least, but not the most reliable one.
Most of the time yes, more so than his "brothers" at least, they don't have much finesse to tell the truth. Heh. I did aim to make a character people would want to work with. Didn't expect anybody to call him cute though.
It depends a lot on how much energy he's using, but in general he'll be fine for a week and a half if he stays the same shape and doesn't do anything, then he'll start wasting away and dying completely may take as long as two months. But Grim tends to shift around a lot, so he usually needs to feed off a persons fear at least once per week just to stay a stable size.
And yeah, they haven't really gotten much attention lately, so this seemed like a good solution. It's good to hear you approve of seeing more of Grimand his kind, although in a slightly younger form this time around.
His 'human' version is kinda creepy. I can't imagine he would fit in very well without a lower jaw. On that note, does he keep the pointy teeth also? Is fear his preferred diet over other emotions, or is that all he can eat?
Haha, yeah a little bit, he doesn't mind though. And it's nothing a scarf or similar can't solve. It really depends on his mood, he can appear with both normal human teeth or his pointy ones. And he can only live off fear, other emotions doesn't do anything for him. So he can in theory starve to death if you confine him to a place where people aren't afraid.
Oh wow, that is possibly the bestest compliment ever since yesterday. I hope people will have lots of fun turning him into all sorts of different things. I'll bet he'd love being something you've made up. Your made up creatures are fantastic. I don't really know exactly how or why he ended up pale as death with red details, but it's fantastic colors to work with I think. It's almost impossible to make it look bad.
Haha. Well, that sounds like a pretty good problem to have, better than the other way around at least. I tried my best to make GrimGrin sound interesting to work with for other people, so it's really nice to hear you say you would like to use him.
