Also, when he's feeding off fear, does the "victim" still feel fear initially? Also, neat detail about the numbness setting in after a week, given that unlike most OCTs, TBOS implies that the contestants could spend at least a week or so in the Book, if they wanted to. XD
GrimGrin can draw, but it won't exactly be artist quality illustrations, more like elaborate children's drawings. He has a good theoretical understanding of shapes, but never bothered to practice, so it won't do him much good.
Unless he lets you know he's there you probably won't have a clue he's there eating off your fear at first. You still feel the same emotions in most cases, and while some people can probably sense something is a little off depending on how well they know themselves, it's not really noticeable when it's just a single papercutkin. A pack of them tends to have more effect.
And thank you. I figured I'd mention it, since time tends to be a very slippery thing in such a free OCT. And if somebody decides to adopt him post-victory it'll probably be relevant. Heh. We'll see what happens.
Ah, a silent feeder, huh? And who wouldn't want to adopt such a cute character like him?
How long can he last without "food" anyway?
Most of the time yes, more so than his "brothers" at least, they don't have much finesse to tell the truth. Heh. I did aim to make a character people would want to work with. Didn't expect anybody to call him cute though.
It depends a lot on how much energy he's using, but in general he'll be fine for a week and a half if he stays the same shape and doesn't do anything, then he'll start wasting away and dying completely may take as long as two months. But Grim tends to shift around a lot, so he usually needs to feed off a persons fear at least once per week just to stay a stable size.
